Letter Dd Day 3&4

Each day is started off with morning meeting and then we get started on school work ;)

Day 3
books-

Bottle cap match

Dd Do-A-Dot page- using Do-A-Dot markers

1-10 number puzzle- put the puzzle in order by numbers on the bottom (we worker together on this)

Copy the pattern- pattern sheet cut into strips
dino cards cut apart for her to use
then I let her copy the pattern (for older children you could let them continue the pattern)

Color the Dinosaur

Color the 'D' and add dinosaur stickers

Dinosaur tracing practice

Shape Match- gluing the correct shape onto the dinosaur
we used the smaller shapes because they were the same size as the ones on the dinosaurs

Shaving Cream 'D' writing practice- we started out with the shaving cream in a bag, but I think I may have put too much in there because I couldn't get it to 'write' very well. So I just put shaving cream onto her lap desk and let her have at it. She LOVED this.
her 'D's look more like circles, but hey, she was close ;)

Our craft for today was dinosaur feet. I got the idea from the Family Fun magazine. It turned out soooo cute. First we modge podged blue and green tissue paper all over two Kleenex boxes.

After she got it covered, I went back and put another good layer of Modge Podge on it and let it dry (I suggest putting them on wax paper to dry). Then you just cut little triangles for claws and glue them on and you have your very own pair of dinosaur feet.
She was saying "Rawr!"
And that's it for day 3.

Day 4
books-

Dd is for Dinosaur trace

Sequencing- largest to smallest or smallest to largest

Graphing- I put a pin and paper clip in the middle of the spinner. We took turns spinning, and then whatever we landed on, we would put a stamp in that box. This was new for us, we've never 'graphed' before. She picked up on it very well. Did she know what she was doing was graphing? No, but she still got the point of the lesson ;)

Dinosaur coloring page- (free printed off the internet)

Color Match- matching color name with color

D/d sort

Find the D's- I let her stamp them with her Do-A-Dot marker

Dinosaur Shadow match

Our craft for today was a handprint dinosaur, because I 'heart' handprint crafts. I hand drew the dino and glued it onto paper. Then her handprints were the spikes.

And that's it for letter 'D'. I didn't get a picture of J putting letter 'D' up on the Chicka Chicka Boom Boom tree, but it's there ;)
