Letter Dd Day 1&2

Finally getting a chance to post Letter Dd. Our theme for this week was dinosaurs. I wasn't quite sure how she'd like it (her being a girl and all) but she absolutely loved dinosaur week. She carried around dinosaurs all week long.
We began every morning with our morning meeting. Just a little refresher, our morning meeting is where we sit down and start off our day with prayer, a few bible songs, bible story, and review of the letter of the week. Then we jump right into our day.

Day 1
books-

Bid letter D trace- she did this in her Crayola Dry Erase board

Dinosaur trace and color

Dd is for Dinosaur Do-A-Dot page (using Do-A-Dot markers)

Dd is for Dinosaur trace and color

Dinosaur number match- we counted these together and I helped her pick the right number to place beside the dinosaurs (she doesn't recognize her numbers yet)

Dd Play-doh mats

Our craft for today was making a dinosaur out of the letter 'D'. This was a simple craft but J really enjoyed it. I cut a 'D' out of a foam sheet (I picked up a pack of 10 sheets in 5 colors at the Dollar Tree for $1). Along with a head, spikes, legs, and a tail. Then I placed little dots of glue where needed and let J put the pieces on. She loved that her 'D' turned into a dinosaur :)
And that's it for day 1.

Day 2
books-

Dd magnet page- on her magnet board with pom-pom magnets

Dinosaur lacing card

Dd is for Dinosaur puzzle

Color match puzzle

Dinosaur coloring page (just a freebie printed from the internet)

Make a Fossil- J loved this. I've seen some use clay that hardens, or can be baked. But we just went with Play-doh. I already had plenty of this and thought she could do it over and over again with the Play-doh if she wanted. First she rolled it out kinda thin (but not too thin).
Then we took a small dinosaur toy from her sensory bin and squished him in.
and TaDa... our very own fossil

Size sort

Which is different- I used a piece of paper to cover up all but one row at a time and let her point out to me which is different. J still has some problems with this, but she is getting better.

D trace and dinosaur glue- She traced the 'D' and then colored and glue on the dinosaur

Our craft for today was a paper plate dinosaur. It takes 2 paper plates, paint, and glue. J painted one whole plate while I cut the head, tail, and legs from the other. Then she painted those. After they were dry we glued them on and added eyes.
And that ended day 2.
