To start off the day we, once again, read Chicka Chicka Boom Boom.
Then we moved on to her coloring pages. She had two today, to finish up all the letters.
Next, we did a 'Build a tree' page. She had to match the shapes to the ones on the page. She did extremely well with this and got it right off the bat.
After that we moved on to the Chicka Chicka Boom Boom sort. She had to sort the coconut tree cards into big and little. She picked this up right away too and was finished in no time.
After this, I told her we were finished and she said she wanted to do more. So I got the CCBB Tot book back out and let her play with it a while.
After lunch we did our 'craft'. More of an edible craft I guess. You'll need one green apple, graham crackers, a few Cocoa Puffs, and you're supposed to have Alphabits cereal, but I couldn't find any anywhere.
Then just slice the apple (making leaves), lay down your graham crackers (tree trunk) and put a few Cocoa Puffs on (coconuts) and you have your self a coconut tree :) If you were lucky enough to find the Alphabits, just spread those around the tree.
And that concludes our week on Chicka Chicka Boom Boom. Next week, we will be moving into the actual letters starting with Aa.
Cute! I love the edible tree!
ReplyDeleteWow! That sounds like a lot of great activities. It's inspiring to see you two having so much fun with it!
